Snohomish County, Washington. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 157.
History
Index was officially incorporated on
October 11,
1907.
Geography
Index is located at 47°49'15" North, 121°33'14" West (47.820774, -121.553859).
According to the
United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.7
km² (0.2
mi²). 0.6 km² (0.2 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.

census of 2000, there were 157 people, 75 households, and 39 families residing in the town. The
population density was 242.5/km² (620.3/mi²). There were 100 housing units at an average density of 154.4/km² (395.1/mi²). The racial makeup of the town was 95.54%
