W.A.R. was a computer game from the BBC Micro produced by Martech and written by Michael Archer. It was revolutionary when it was produced because, although it was monochrome, and gameplay was tightly letterboxed, the graphical detail and smooth hardware scrolling of this vertical shooter had not been seen before.
