Plot summary

Birdman has been a thorn in the side of F.E.A.R. for years, and so they finally have found a way to rid the world of him. They hire the one man who can defeat him, X the Eliminator, to steal the Crest of Birdman. He sneaks into Birdman's volcanic lair and scrapes something off the bottom of Birdman's feet — the Crust of Birdman. F.E.A.R.'s leader corrects him, and sends X off again to perform his task. We fast forward twenty-six years, and find X in his mother's basement, which is full of Birdman memorabilia. X never got the Crest, possibly due to Birdman's disappearing from the superhero scene. When X sees a commercial for Harvey Birdman, he springs into action, searching for his Silver Death Console so he can finally get the Crest on Birdman's Helmet. At the office, Harvey is eating a sloppy joe at his desk, when Phil calls him into his office. Phil has hit a man with his car... every day this week, and wants Harvey to defend him in court. Fortunately, the only witnesses were some kids and a nun. Harvey assures him that no one believes members of either group, and that he'll take the case. X comes to the office, and, after mentioning he has come to eliminate Harvey, is mistaken for the insect exterminator. He goes along with this, but as soon as Harvey walks out of his office, X leaps up, declaring his intent. Harvey doesn't remember him at all, but humors him and the two agree to have coffee at an undisclosed time. While X sits in the coffee shop across the street, Harvey sits in his office, and begins feeling the effects of the sloppy joe. He runs to the bathroom, but Potamus comes in, and he's unable to go. He later tries again, but Phil bursts into the stall, his hair horribly mangled. Harvey comforts him and they walk outside, where X is waiting with his console. He pulls a lever, and a ray shoots out, which Phil dodges while pushing Harvey out the way. Phil runs around and steals a car, eventually driving away. The console finally recharges, but, by that time, Harvey has also escaped. X camps outside of Harvey's office, waiting to blast him with the console. Inside, Harvey is testing Phil's eyesight, which obviously isn't up to snuff. To go to the "little Harv's room", he tries to sneak across the ledge outside, but X begins firing as he runs back and forth. The case begins, but Harvey is unable to focus as X is standing nearby, waiting for his console to recharge. Finally, X gets off a shot, trapping him in a "vice ray" [sic], then sapping the sun's rays from him. Avenger comes to the rescue, and reverses the ray, causing Harvey to regain the sun's energy... in his pants. Harvey comes back to win the case, and runs off to the bathroom, where he finally gets a chance to take care of some unfinished business. Everything is back to normal, but X will not give up, still hoping to one day get the Crest on Birdman's Helmet.

Trivia

The title of the episode refers to a scene where X is mistaken for pest control.
